Introductions to Infant Movement Development IBMT Workshops

These workshops offer a taster of the material covered and are a pre-requisite for the Infant Movement Development Module, that starts in September 2018 in Dartington, Devon (See here for details). They will also touch on Somatic Psychology and Experiential Anatomy, 2 other elements of the Diploma in Integrative Bodywork and Movement Therapy.

The workshops can also be taken as stand-alone workshops for personal and professional development.

They may be of interest to those working with babies and young children, yoga, dance and movement practitioners, therapists and bodyworkers.

Sessions will include:

  • Guided movement explorations
  • Theoretical input
  • Simple partner exercises including touch, bodywork and movement re-patterning

Part 1 – Sunday Jan 28th 2018

Embryological Foundations

  • Cell
  • Embryonic Disc
  • Flexion and extension
  • Organ support

Part 2 – Sunday 13th May 2018 – BOOKINGS NOW BEING TAKEN

Stages of infant movement development

  • Fish, amphibian, reptile and mammal.
  • Our relationship to gravity.
