An Introduction to Infant Movement Development

Spend a day being introduced to some of the early movement patterns that we all go through and that form the foundation to our development. Experience the evolutionary stages that begin in utero, support our birth and develop in complexity during the first year of life.

Be guided through a series of movement explorations, share experiences and ask questions.  Take some time for yourself to find your ground, move, stretch and connect with resources for everyday life. The day may include movement, mark making, writing, touch, partner work and sharing.

Have a taste of the IBMT approach to somatic movement as an introduction to the material that will be covered on the module that starts in September 2024. This module marks the beginning of next UK Diploma programme of this ISMETA approved training programme in Integrative Bodywork & Movement Therapy. Full details of the module can be seen here.

This day is open to all who are interested in exploring movement for their development or work with others. It is also a pre-requisite if you have not worked with us before and are interested in applying to join the Diploma.
